Our Team

Meet the people who are passionate about supporting the future

Director of Learning | English

Hamza Khansaheb

As the English lead at The Study Club, I aim to create the most effective learning environment possible in all of our English classes. My goal is to create a consistent and effective experience no matter the teacher.

Starting with a baseline assessment, each student will embark on their own learning journey with achievable yet challenging goals set out for all of the learners. Assessment is a key component at The Study Club and we use these as measurable indicators of progress, because after all, students will be sitting exams for the rest of their academic lives.

A small group approach means that students will benefit from the experiences and ideas of their peers while also receiving 1 to 1 support. A combination of these delivery styles is paramount for success at all levels of English. All the material delivered is designed to support the learners for the exams taken at their school, ensuring that only the most relevant information is being passed on.

Please get in touch if you have any questions or would like any more information on how we can help your child achieve their potential.

Director of Learning | Maths

Yasin Hafezi

My aim in maths is to welcome and assess our learners through clear communication with parents. It is important to discuss the learners’ current levels and a suitable learning journey with a clear time frame. I will be available to answer any questions or queries any day of the week.

As part of the Maths programme students will receive an appropriate levelled workbook at no added cost.

We take pride in facilitating a friendly learning environment where our students feel comfortable and confident to work independently. I help support their learning by ensuring they are on the right track through regular assessment, questioning and guiding them in the right direction.

We understand the demands from school and home regarding our learners’ exam results, I intend to be efficient and productive to ensure the learners achieve these goals.

Online Lead

Muhammad Saleh

The supportive role I play at The Study Club comes with a wealth of experience in the field. I have taught students throughout every year for 7 years. This has been on a one-to-one basis as well as in classes, I have tutored and mentored a wide variety of students between 9 and 18 years of age, for different qualifications such as 11+ entrance exams, GCSEs, and A-levels, both in-person and online. This experience has given me vital insights that allow me to support tutors and students alike, to ultimately maximise students’ potential to succeed. Hence, my role at The Study Club is to assist our online tutors in terms of technologies, resources, and skills; to collect feedback to address any issues or concerns raised by the faculty or the students as well as making sure we keep doing what works; and to act in a quality control capacity to ensure we give the best possible service, especially given the intensity of our online courses.
My aim is to ensure that students and tutors enjoy their experience at The Study Club, and I always look forward to congratulating students on results day when it inevitably transpires that the hard work put in by them and their teachers has paid off in spades.

Maths Teacher

Chajif Thevadurai

With five years of tutoring experience and one year of experience as a Maths teacher in a secondary school, I have worked with students of all levels. From a foundational level to those looking to excel in advanced topics. Each student is unique in how they understand concepts and how they consume information. I strive to convey information in a manner which caters to the individual’s strengths and weaknesses. I employ a methodical approach to teaching mathematics by modelling the answers first then followed by guided practice with the students and finally encouraging independent practice using skills that we have learnt. The material covered during sessions are aligned with the student’s school curriculum to ensure they are well-prepared for their upcoming GCSE exams. I aim to make classes enjoyable for students whilst helping them work towards their academic goals.

As part of the Maths programme students will receive an appropriate levelled workbook at no added cost.

Biology & Chemistry Teacher

Trevor Lopez

I am a scholarship final year medical student at Imperial College London, with 7+ years of experience in tutoring and mentoring my peers. I bring lots of energy to the classroom and want to try many different tools to help my students understand difficult concepts. The teaching style I offer is very adaptable and will be adjusted to accommodate all students. Teaching will consist of notes I make in real time, as well as homework exercises and past papers.
When preparing for lessons I will use proven techniques to ensure the student gets the most from our lessons, such as active recall and spaced repetition. Given that I’m teaching biology and chemistry, if there are students who are interested in pursuing a medical career, I can also provide advice and guidance for that process.
At Imperial I am associated with schemes to help struggling students to improve their studying habits. My ability to communicate and understand people has been improved further during my time as a Learning Coach, as well as various other mentor roles to my juniors, which translates well in the classroom.
